Student GroupsThere are many student groups working to create a more sustainable Stanford and a more sustainable world. Among these: Students for a Sustainable Stanford, a coalition of students striving to ensure the sustainability of Stanford University. Projects are designed to reduce energy, water, and paper use, promote purchasing of organic and local foods and promote a culture of sustainability. It exists to educate the Stanford community about organic gardening techniques and to provide an outlet for recreational gardening.
